Premier and Deputy Premier are off to the U.K. for a trade mission

    Meetings will be held with representatives from various business sectors, including oceans, fisheries, mining, natural resources and finance

    Premier Andrew Furey and Finance Minister Siobhan Coady in the United Kingdom this week for a trade mission where they will meet with senior government officials and business leaders.  The goal is to strengthen connections as Newfoundland and Labrador looks to do more business abroad. They will meet with Ralph Goodale, High Commissioner for Canada in the United Kingdom, the Canada-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce. Meetings will also be held with representatives from various business sectors, including oceans, fisheries, mining, natural resources and finance. Their trip will also include an event at the London Stock Exchange. They will also visit Wandsworth Cemetery, the final resting place for several soldiers from our province, and Beatrix Potter School as children from the school tend to the graves.
