Police pull 6 commercial vehicles at a checkpoint in Stephenville on Wednnesday

    The commercial vehicles that were inspected had a total of forty-five defects.

    RCMP Traffic Services West partnered with Service NL’s Highway Enforcement Officers and conducted a checkpoint in Stephenville on Wednesday. Six of the eight commercial vehicles inspected were pulled from the road. The commercial vehicles that were inspected had a total of forty-five defects. A number of tickets were issued including operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s licence, failing to produce or complete a pre-trip inspection, failing to complete a daily logbook and failing to obtain a special permit.
