NL has entered into a driver’s license agreement with Denmark.  Through this arrangement, residents of Denmark will not have to complete additional testing to have their Class 5 driver’s licences recognized in this province when they choose to make it their home. The same applies to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who relocate to Denmark. The agreement came into effect January 1st. Newfoundland and Labrador also has driver’s licence reciprocity arrangements with Austria, France, Ireland, Isle of Man, Japan, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. Under the same regulations, the Registrar of Motor Vehicles can also waive testing requirements for people with driver’s licences from elsewhere in Canada, Germany, Ukraine, and the United States.
