The driver contacted Bay St. George RCMP Friday around 5:45 p.m. and the next afternoon they were located with the help of Stephenville Ground Search and Rescue.

The pair were able to provide police with their coordinates as well as a description of their appearance and the area. They were also well-prepared with a communications device, shelter, food and water for their trip, and were able to stay safe and healthy until assistance arrived and they continued with their travels.
