The Port of Corner Brook is putting the final touches on their 3rd Annual Community Port Day this month. On August 22nd from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., this free, family friendly event takes place dockside on Riverside Drive. Patti Ricketts is the Cruise Marketing Coordinator and says the idea for the day started as a project in 2024 and has since become an annual event with vendors, musicians, tours and cargo showcases. Ricketts says this event has been growing and after the first year, 400 people attended and that number doubled last year. She says new attractions this year include a tour offered by Rugged Edge, more vendors and introduction to NL culture. Updates on activities for the day will be posted on their event page.
