The 2026 NL Summer Games are continuing in Corner Brook and athletics will start in Stephenville tomorrow. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit this morning, Mayor Linda Chaisson says the opening ceremonies this past weekend got everyone “geared up for the games.” She says the vibration and excitement in the arena was amazing and Trent Mclellan, the emcee, had everyone in stitches.
Meanwhile, it’s transition time at the NL Games and Chaisson says that means more people are expected to arrive in the area tomorrow. She says if you see someone driving the wrong way, be patient and show them Corner Brook is a welcoming city.
