National Test of Alert Ready to take place this afternoon

    Some residents will not receive the test alert on their wireless device due to compatibility, LTE network connection, cell tower coverage, device software and/or settings.

    There will be a test of the National Public Alerting System, this afternoon at approximately 3:25 p.m. Alert Ready, will be conducted in most provinces and territories over television, radio, and compatible wireless devices today. Some residents will not receive the test alert on their wireless device due to compatibility, LTE network connection, cell tower coverage, device software and/or settings. Last year, the Alert Ready system distributed over 1,000 emergency alerts across Canada.
