Falle has just had a new book published titled “Poppa and his Sacred Kitpu.”
There are many childhood memories that resonate with Judy Falle, she’s written her second book about it. Last spring Judy Falle was a guest on Qalipu Today talking about her work as an author of the children’s Indigenous book “Poppa and his Drum.” Since then, Falle has had a new book published titled “Poppa and his Sacred Kitpu.” This new book explores the sharing of traditional Mi’kmaw knowledge from elder to child, specifically about the Sacred Kitpu- which means the bald eagle. Falle grew up in St. George’s and her father was french and Mi’kmaq, at a time when it was an embarrassment. Falle has just signed a contract for her third book, which will be “Poppa and the Medicine Wheel.”
