Government is taking applications for community-based organizations to hold and promote events during Well-Being Week 2024. Scheduled for September 22-28, Well-Being Week is focused on creating awareness of the social determinants of health and how they contribute to an individual’s health and well-being. Grants of up to $1,000 per organization are available. To qualify, groups must be a community organization and an event must meet the description and align with the objectives of Well-Being Week. Applications may be submitted on WellbeingNL.ca and the deadline to apply is May 31, 2024. Successful organizations will be notified by June 14th. The first Well-Being Week took place last year in September. Premier Andrew Furey says “Together, we can make Well-Being Week a truly provincial celebration and learn, engage, support and take action around the many factors that impact our health and our quality of life.”
