Water resources issued a high river flow advisory for parts of Western and Central Newfoundland.
High River Flow Advisory: River levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly, however, no major flooding is expected. Minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Anyone situated near the river affected is advised to be cautious of the rising levels.
Heavy rainfall of more than 10 mm/hr is expected this evening between 4:30 pm on Wednesday July 24th and 2:30 am on Thursday July 25th over parts of Western and Central Newfoundland which could contribute to flash flooding.
