Four west communities were among the list to share more than $9 Million for Municipal Capital Works Projects. The biggest project to be funded in this area will be in Kippens. More than $212K will be spent on a new water storage tank. Next, more than $93K is going towards upgrades to Fifth Avenue in Humber Arm South. Work will include roadside stormwater infrastructure, installation of pipe culverts and the resurfacing of asphalt. Cape St. George will use over $31K for water main upgrades along Loretto Road. Massey Drive is getting over $10K for storm water management. Work there will include the installation of storm drainage infrastructure to redirect runoff from the Mountainview Road area. In total, the four west coast communities will get slightly more than $347.6K through the Build Communities Strong Fund (BCSF).
