The MHA says there hasn’t been any capital funding for a number of years to go towards roads on the south and north shore of the Bay of Islands.
Bay of Islands MHA Eddie Joyce is pleased after meeting with the Transportation Minister about road issues in his district. Joyce says to be fair to the minister, these issues have been there for a while now and it is a major safety concern. The MHA says there hasn’t been any capital funding for a number of years to go towards roads on the south and north shore of the Bay of Islands. Joyce says ditching is another concern since flooding happens when ditches are not properly cleaned on a regular basis.
