A 27-year-old man is waiting to find out if he will face charges after a traffic stop in Deer Lake on January 20th. Police say he showed signs of drug impairment and quantities of cocaine and prescription medications were seized from inside the vehicle. Following his arrest, the driver completed a drug influence evaluation at the detachment. The man’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded. Officers await the results of the testing to determine if charges are appropriate.
