Darren Charters is Corner Brook's new City Manager

    Charters is a professional engineer and holds a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from NBCC Moncton, New Brunswick, and a Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.

    Darren Charters is the new Manager for the City of Corner Brook. Charters is a professional engineer and holds a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from NBCC Moncton, New Brunswick, and a Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. Originally from Fredericton, he has twenty five years of experience in the municipal sector, beginning with his tenure at the City of Fredericton, where he held various positions. Mayor Jim Parsons says It has been a challenging number of months since the unexpected passing of previous City Manager, Rodney Cumby. Parsons says Charters has been with the city since  2017 and had been acting city manager during the recruitment process. He says there were a lot of good candidates from across the country.
