Byrne says the message was clear to fight the tariffs,, impose, countervail and retaliate against them. The Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture Minister says buying local also means buying Canadian. Premier Andrew Furey released a statement over the weekend condemning the tariffs introduced by the United States on Canadian products entering the American market. Furey says “The United States is Canada’s oldest friend, and closest business partner, and these tariffs are very troubling.”
