Jim Parsons says there is a stable economy and a good life here that is very secure and safe.

Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons says U.S imposed tariffs on Canadian goods is the topic of conversations everywhere. For the Mayor, the extra 25 percent even trumps Premier Andrew Furey’s announcement that he is leaving politics. Parsons says there is a stable economy and a good life here that is very secure and safe. He doesn’t expect to see quick direct effects from the tariffs here and says the whole situation is chaotic but people shouldn’t get stressed about it. Parsons says a silver lining is that we are now thinking more about how to do things on our own. Meanwhile, he says it is so strange to see how diplomats are acting.
