Jim Parsons says “the principles of ATTIPA are laudable, but the current process has completely overwhelmed municipal resources and it seems it has also overwhelmed the OIPC’s resources.

Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons says “staff and legal counsel are reviewing the OIPC report, but are already seeing numerous errors. He says “the principles of ATTIPA are laudable, but the current process has completely overwhelmed municipal resources and it seems it has also overwhelmed the OIPC’s resources. Parsons says these requests take an inordinate amount of time to process and, given the care and expertise staff use to respond. He says he can’t imagine how smaller municipalities cope with these requests.
