More than $619,000 has been awarded for 40 accessible community projects that will help them support the well-being of residents. Municipalities, Inuit Community Governments, and Local Service Districts were eligible to apply for Accessible Communities Grants, which were announced in January. The grants provide funding at a 90/10 cost share with the community. All the approved projects assist in funding initiatives and small-scale infrastructure projects that specifically focus on building active, healthy, accessible communities.
