Although there’s a virtual session tonight for anyone interested in the city of Corner Brook’s Development plan for the next ten years, at last night’s public meeting, council approved some amendments to the existing plan and zoning changes. Mayor Jim Parsons says one interesting one is a potential arcade on Broadway. He says there was a lot of online chatter about it and it was approved.
Parsons says this is just a statutory requirement at this point and it doesn’t mean a decision is made right away. He wondered why council even had to approve such a new business in the downtown area but says the new regulations will cover this.
