Residents are asked to separate household garbage, black garbage bags are not permitted, and loose items should be bundled and tied.
It’s week two of Corner Brook’s annual clean up and that means it’s time to get household garbage to the curb. Week one dealt with the collection of metals and bulk waste like furniture. This week is for household garbage like glass, textiles, organics, and toys. Meanwhile, it’s clean up week in the town of Steady Brook. Residents are asked to separate household garbage, black garbage bags are not permitted, and loose items should be bundled and tied. Leaves and grass should be placed inside a clear bag, cardboard must be broken down, and refrigerators must be certified free of harmful products. Used tires, car wrecks, building materials, and hazardous materials will not be accepted.
