BayFM has won its second national award in less than one year. The award was presented this past weekend in Nova Scotia. The Community Radio Awards in Broadcast and Online selected BayFM for their “Community Engagement Award.” One of the jurors said, "This programming truly touches the community, exemplifying what this award (and community radio) is about. The texture and identity of the station's sound is full of character."
Station manager Lenny Benoit says it’s an honour to be recognized this way. Bay of Islands Radio Inc. Chair Kody Gardner says BayFM is a big part of the community. Last December, BayFM won the award for Best Community Radio Station in Canada (small market) from Broadcast Dialogue.
