Over 22 million has been raised over the years in support of the Western Regional Hospital Foundation.
Radiothon 2024 in support of the Western Regional Hospital Foundations will take to the airwaves of Bayfm this Friday. This decades-old tradition takes place throughout the day featuring many health care professionals, businesses, and members of the public getting behind the microphone to talk about this important cause that affects us all. Dr. Joe Wijay is a name most people on the west coast have heard of, forgive the pun, seen. The multi-splice spiraL CT scanner was a big item purchased in the past by the foundation. Wijay says a friend of his was a doctor in New Jersey visiting at the time and couldn’t believe Corner Brook did not have one. Dr. Tony Tavenor has been co-host for many many radiothons. He says it’s always a lot of fun and great to see people dropping into the station to make a donation. Over 22 million has been raised over the years in support of the Western Regional Hospital Foundation.
