Starting this Wednesday, atv’s can operate on certain streets in Corner Brook. Areas included are Riverside Drive, west from the intersection of the Northshore Highway, Main Street, Herald Avenue, Broadway, Pier Road, the paved trail between Pier Road and Griffin Drive, Griffin Dr., Petries Street from the intersection of Curling Street to the intersection of McLeod’s Lane, McLeod’s Lane, West Street, Park Street, Confederation Drive, Massey Drive, and Lundrigan Drive. Since last year, ATV access to the Great Trail, the old railway line, is not permitted. Drivers must be at least 16 years of age, have a driver’s license, and insurance. Speed limits are 40km/hr on paved City roadways and 20km/hr on pathways. Dirt bikes and trikes are prohibited.
