As per the requirements of the Canada Community Building Fund Agreement, each year the City is required to prepare and approve a report showing a full and detailed statement of revenue and expenditures.
In order to get what was known as “Gas Tax” funding, the City of Corner Brook needs to get approval each year for what is now called the “Canada Community Building Fund Agreement.” At this week’s public meeting, Councillor Donna Luther read what was left at the end of 2025. As per the requirements of the Canada Community Building Fund Agreement, each year the City is required to prepare and approve a report showing a full and detailed statement of revenue and expenditures of the City related to the Canada Community Building Fund Agreement on an annual basis. At the end of 2025 the City had $ 1,724,146 of funds available for additional projects. Council approved the Annual Expenditure Report.
