Fluorspar Holdings Pte Ltd, is the new owner of Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc in St. Lawrence.
A new buyer has been found for the idle fluorspar (floorispar) mine in St. Lawrence. Following a court appointed monitor, Fluorspar Holdings Pte Ltd, is the new owner of Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc. (CFI) On June 6th, the Supreme Court approved the sale of CFI to the buyer, a private company registered in Singapore, for $25 million. Government will receive close to $4 million from the proceeds of the sale which will repay a loan of $3.25 million. Government also agreed to provide up to $3.785 million toward the costs of water treatment at the site to assist with the restart of the mine.
