Cranes were on site today raising tilt-up panels for a new Marine Atlantic administration building in Port aux Basques. The multi-year project is designed to address space and infrastructure challenges and consolidate administrative functions currently located at several buildings in the town. CEO Murray Hupman says the building should be complete by next summer. Hupman says the goal is to construct a facility that is a Leader in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) and when completed meets LEED certification requirements. It will also include electric vehicle charging stations.
