A man is dead after a house fire in Curling on Canada Day. RNC Cst James Cadigan says emergency crews responded to a residential fire at a home on Curling Street around 9:15 p.m. on July 1st. There was heavy smoke billowing from the front window when officers arrived on scene. The Corner Brook Fire Department located a man in the home who later died in hospital. A police investigation has determined the fire was not suspicious. The RNC continues to work with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
