The headline show for the season is “Shrek the Musical.”
It started in 1979 and today, the Stephenville Theatre festival is the longest running theatre company in the province. Artistic Director Laura Caswell says with the 50th anniversary coming, they started a special project on the history of the festival.
This year’s festival season starts this weekend with a pre-launch of the Jazz Apostles on Saturday at the Stephenville Arts and Culture Centre.
The headline show for the season is “Shrek the Musical.” Caswell says Shrek is not just for kids and this is a musical with a pop vibe and lots of comedy.
