A 32-year-old man appeared in court yesterday to face charges in connection with a stabbing at a Corner Brook business. It happened at Downtown Entertainment in the Valley Mall early Monday evening. The RNC’s Cst Stephanie Myers says police got the call around 5:30 p.m. and although the suspect had left the area by foot, he was quickly located around 7p.m. The RNC located him at an abandoned home on Valley Road.
Gregg Musakanda has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, and break and enter.
The victim, a 37-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Myers says the investigation is continuing and they’re looking for the public’s help. Police are looking for information or video footage leading up to the attack. Contact the RNC at 637-4100.
