About 5700 tonnes have been removed from the MSC Baltic III, a grounded cargo vessel in the Lark Harbour area. The Coast Guard says Resolve Marine has removed about half of the vessel’s total tonnage. Last week a large portion of the bow section was taken off and brought to shore to be cut into smaller pieces and removed. Meanwhile, reporters have been invited to a media availability at the site on Thursday. The vessel ran aground in Cedar Cove during February of last year after losing power.
