A Bay St. George municipal employee has been recognized for her work with the 2026 Derrick Bragg Leadership Award. Yvonne Young is the Town Clerk-Manager of the Town of Stephenville Crossing. She is the second recipient of the award, which was presented during the Professional Municipal Administrators of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Fall Forum in Corner Brook on October 15th. Young was recognized for her strong leadership, advocacy, and more than 47 years of service to the residents of Stephenville Crossing. Described as dedicated, professional, conscientious and committed to her work, Young is a mentor, visionary, and community builder who is passionate about her work and helping others.
