Close to $205K in federal funding has been announced for three Indigenous-led projects, and two of them are through Qalipu First Nation. They’re getting close to $88K to host a series of business forums and to support specialized Indigenous culinary training in the Bay of Islands area. This will focus on revitalizing traditional Mi’kmaq foodways, sustainable practices, land-based learning and the transfer of Indigenous cultural knowledge.
