The 36th annual radiothon in support of the Western Regional Hospital Foundation will hit the airwaves on Bayfm tomorrow. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. dozens of guests will go before the microphones. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit, Dr. Tony Tavenor says it’s a chance for people to see the “organized chaos” that has always been part of radiothon and people are welcome to drop by the station.
Over the years many millions of dollars has been raised through radiothon to buy medical equipment for the health needs of people throughout the western zone. Tavenor explains how this year, the focus isn’t on one big item, but more than a dozen pieces of equipment. As well, Tavenor says this year, equipment is going to Burgeo. The number to call tomorrow to male a donation is 709=784-5353 or e-transfer to foundation@westernhealth.nl.ca
