The RNC has charged an E-Bike Operator from Halfway Point with Impaired Driving. Police were called Thursday night to a disturbance at a business in downtown Corner Brook. The driver fled on an electric dirtbike and when officers located the machine nearby, the operator refused to comply and fled from police. The RNC did not pursue due to public safety.
Shortly afterwards, the 34-year-old driver was found on a dead-end road off of Valley Road and after a brief struggle, the RNC arrested him. Police say Michael Greene refused to provide a breath sample and is facing charges that include impaired driving, flight from police, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
