It’s been nearly a year now since Corner Brook’s newly elected council was sworn in and something they promised was to hold town hall meetings so residents could share their opinions. So far this year, they’ve hosted town hall meetings on business, the Curling area, and one for developers and contractors. On Bayfm, Mayor Linda Chaisson spoke about a town hall starting 7 o’clock tonight at the Marina Redmond Centre. She says the first town hall they hosted last year dealt with the city’s budget. Chaisson says it’s a chance for people to share ideas or concerns. Budget meetings for councillors and city staff will start during the second week of November.
