The city of Corner Brook has added a second transit bus to cover evening and weekend shifts. This is due to what the city calls, “overwhelming success of the On-Demand Transit Program.” Looking at the numbers, there have been 4.3 rides per service hour, 30 rides per day, as well as 1600 accessible rides and 3000 On-Demand rides. This seven day a week service started on April 1st and a door-to-door accessible on-demand service called, “Thee Link” was launched in July of last year. The City budgeted $826,000 for transit services in 2026.
