Carl Dymond says workers need to be paid comparable for their level of expertise and be rewarded for their loyalty.

The lights are on at the Stephenville Dymond International Airport and the company is becoming a part of the community. Carl Dymond says they’re finishing up runway lighting now and will tackle taxiway lighting in the new year. He says they recently gave staff a ten dollar an hour raise to make their wage comparable to their experience.  Dymond says workers need to be comparable for their level of expertise. He says Local 904 ratified a collective agreement last week and they have a cordial relationship. Meanwhile, the Santa Clause parade in Stephenville last week featured a float by the airport. Dymond says Stephenville feels like home. He says there are so many opportunities in the Bay St. george area. He says young people can choose one of about 25 trades that will be needed.
