Ivan Loder charged with first degree murder after a shooting in Grand Falls-Windsor this morning

    On Wednesday. a victim of another shooting in central was airlifted to St. John’s with serious injuries.

    UPDATE: 52-year-old Ivan Loder has been charged with first degree murder, after police responded to a report of a shooting in Grand Falls-Windsor early this morning.

    At approximately 4:45 a.m. RCMP were called to a home on Crescent Heights and found a deceased female inside as well as the suspect.  Loder and the victim knew each other and he was arrested without incident.  The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is engaged and the investigation is continuing.

     

    EARLIER STORY: RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador can confirm that police are investigating an incident on Crescent Heights in Grand Falls-Windsor early this morning that resulted in the death of one person. One man is in police custody.

    On Wednesday. a victim of another shooting in central was airlifted to St. John’s with serious injuries. The suspect was found dead near a vehicle a short time later, however foul play is not suspected in that death.
