About 20 members of the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue team sprang into action on Wednesday to help find a missing Corner Brook man. The 43-year-old had been missing since Sunday and was last seen in the Griffin Drive area. BOISAR Co-ordinator Shawn Street says they set up a command post in Curling and started searching around 10:20 Wednesday morning. Later in the day, a member showed up with a drone. Street says members can only get involved in a search when asked by agencies such as police, Parks Canada or NL Health Services. BOISAR members located the man’s body just after 5:30 p.m on Wednesday.
