Samples were submitted to Service NL on November 13th but the results have not been received.
UPDATE: Water samples taken by the Maintenance Department with the town of Steady Brook submitted on Wednesday(November 13, 2024) have come back with adequate chlorine levels. Today's readings are showing good chlorine levels as well. Unfortunately to lift the boil order, a second successive adequate reading from Service NL, is required. No readings will be taken on Fridays by Service NL, so it will be submitted on Monday, November 18, 2024, and results will be back to the town on Tuesday.
Prior story: The town of Steady Brook is once again, under a boil water advisory. Samples were submitted to Service NL on November 13th but the results have not been received. Until the town can provide two consecutive readings with improved chloride levels, the town will remain on a boil order advisory. Residents should boil water used for drinking purposes, for at least 1 minute at a rolling boil, prior to use.
