Drone footage shows the full extent of damage following a landslide just before midnight.
The full extent of last night’s landslide on Riverside Drive in Corner Brook is clearly shown in an aerial video captured by Ken Batstone.
Several people were sent to hospital last night after a vehicle was pushed into the Humber River as a result of the landslide. One person was treated for hypothermia and another for a broken hand. One car also came upon the scene and hit the landslide, however there were no injuries in that case.

Dawn Aylward says her daughter and friends were involved in the landslide, pictured here.
Western Memorial Regional Hospital prepared for a potential influx of patients by implementing a code orange, identifying an external disaster or mass casualty event, however that was later called off.
Teams from the Corner Brook Fire Department, Coast Guard, Bay of Islands Search & Rescue, paramedics, and police descended on the scene to assist.
The road remains closed for the foreseeable future. City staff are assessing the damage today and request the public to stay away from Riverside Drive and the old highway near Confederation Drive Extension.
