Bay St. George RCMP arrested two impaired drivers Monday night after two separate collisions in Stephenville and police say no one was injured. Just after 8:30 Monday night, there  was a two vehicle collision on Main Street. RCMP say the driver left the scene but was found at a home in the town. The 21 year old man failed a breath test and at the detachment, blew more than twice the legal limit.

Less than two hours later, there was another accident in a parking lot on Massachusetts Drive. That driver also left the scene but was located by officers shortly after. The 38 year old man failed a roadside breath test and blew nearly twice the legal limit at the detachment.

Both drivers will appear in court at later dates, their driver’s licences were suspended and vehicles seized by police.
