A total of $67,730.40 was recently applied to this contract.

At Monday night’s public meeting in Corner Brook council approved a change order on the Mount Bernard Avenue Reconstruction project that actually means money is going back in the coffers. Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson says costs associated with the repair of a water transmission main breaks last November  have changed. An existing 16-inch diameter water main broke overnight beyond the limits of the construction. Water main was repressurized the previous day for the end of the construction season. It was decided to have the contractor repair this main instead of City Forces due to the complexity of the excavation around Bell Infrastructure in the ground. For the information of Council, a credit. The city’s Director of Engineering  Darren Charters says they ordered too many fire hydrants for the job. A total of $67,730.40 was recently applied to this contract.
