Byrne faces nine counts of possession of child pornography, and one count each of transmitting child pornography and accessing child pornography.
56 year old Todd Byrne of the north shore of the Bay of Islands is facing a number of charges dealing with online child exploitation. RCMP arrested the Irishtown man on August 22nd. Last December, police seized electronics from Byrne’s home. After a forensic analysis was completed, Byrne faces nine counts of possession of child pornography, and one count each of transmitting child pornography and accessing child pornography. Byrne was released on conditions designed to protect the general public. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Corner Brook on October 29th
