They can now take e-bikes, scooters, electronic toys and games, as well as ipads and e-books.

People in the western zone can now recycle more unwanted electric products, or E-waste. Lynn Howse is the Outreach Coordinator with Western Regional Waste Management. On Bayfm’s “Trash Talk Thursday,” she spoke about a new agreement whereby they can now take e-bikes, scooters, electronic toys and games, as well as ipads and e-books. Howse says while those are the larger groups of products, a full list of what is now accepted at the landfill at no cost can be found on their facebook page

Meanwhile, Howse says there will be three residential public drop off points starting this weekend in Westbay, Bonne Bay South  and Portland Creek from June 6th to October 31st.
