Roblo’s Rock is a six member group of traditional musicians with roots in the Port au Port area in Bay St. George. Last month, they released an album called, “Off the Floor,” and came on Bayfm’s Scoffs and Scuffs to talk about it. Members are Donovan Conran, Ryan Perrier, Devon Benoit, Shane Blanchard, Steve White and Ryan Tiller. Conran says the album was produced with the help of 62 Broadway. He says the album’s first single, “Shores,” showcases the band’s family roots. It was composed in 2007 by Robert Benoit, uncle of two band members. Years later Chris Conran, Donovan Conran’s dad, penned lyrics to pair with the tune.
