The Provincial Elks Convention is taking place in Corner Brook

    Don Gillis is Grand Exalted Ruler of the national organization and has been invited to the event. Gillis has been an Elk member for 25 years and says there are over 200 Elks clubs in Canada.

    Members of the Elks of Canada are in Corner Brook for the Provincial Elks Convention this weekend. Don Gillis is Grand Exalted Ruler of the national organization and has been invited to the event. Gillis has been an Elk member for 25 years and says there are over 200 Elks clubs in Canada. He says there are over 7400 Elks in the country and it’s all about serving people and communities. Luc Chouinard has been with the Elks for 33 years and is the national third vice-president. He lives in Gander and says the Elks were on scene when 9-11 happened. The Provincial Elks Convention wraps up on Sunday.
