The head of the Deer Lake Regional Airport expects a busy season

    President and CEO Tammy Priddle says many folks are taking advantage of direct flights to Varadero with the return of Sunwing until May 1st.

    While April tends to be the preferred time for flying to destinations in the south like Cuba, the head of the Deer Lake Regional Airport is expecting a busy summer season. President and CEO Tammy Priddle says many folks are taking advantage of direct flights to Varadero with the return of Sunwing until May 1st. Priddle says they’re getting ready for a busy summer season at the airport which starts in May with the return of Westjet. She says Flair will return May25th offering flights as low as $69 to Kitchener, Ontario, and on May 27th, they will be offering flights to Toronto Pearson Airport  three times a week. Priddle says it’s been a number of years but Porter airlines will be back this summer. Air Canada and PAL airlines will also be increasing capacity at the Deer Lake Regional Airport.
