Athletes were highlighted at the 21st annual Premier’s Athletic Awards ceremony.
Ten young athletes from the west coast were recently recognized for their achievements at the 21st annual Premier’s Athletic Awards ceremony. In the “Alpine” sport category, winners include Lily Hayden of Steady Brook and Kaitlyn Dillman of Pasadena. Brianna Fortune of Corner Brook was recognized under “Athletics.” Also from Corner Brook, David Adey was recognized for “Biathlon”, while Alexander Merrigan and Juliette Colbourne won Premiers awards for “Cross Country Skiing.” Maria Shea from Stephenville Crossing won for “Hockey,” and Steady Brook’s Meridith Hayden was awarded for “Snowboard.” Michael Budden and Samantha Walsh, both from Stephenville, won awards in the “Special Olympics” category.
