Teachers' union bosses from across the country are wrapping up meetings in the capital city.
Union bosses of teachers groups across the country are wrapping up meetings in the capital city. NLTA President Trent Langdon says 21 people attended. He says recruitment and retention is a big issue across the board, and so is school safety. Langdon says violence is a serious issue, especially with what happened recently where a student was hurt by a group. He says it’s up to government to fix the situation with a shortage of teachers. Langdon says having retirees come back to work is not a healthy system and that’s what they’re relying on now.
